Refund Policy — v1.0
Refunds, plainly
Plans change — we get it. Here's exactly how refunds work on Always Funday, so there are no surprises.
Free events
Free events have nothing to refund. You can cancel your RSVP any time from My RSVPs — doing so early frees your spot for anyone on the waitlist.
Paid events — the 48-hour rule
For paid events, you can get a full, self-service refund up to 48 hours before the event starts. No approval needed, no back-and-forth.
- More than 48 hours before start: refund yourself instantly from My RSVPs. You get the full ticket price back.
- Within 48 hours of start, or after it begins: refunds are closed. Organizers commit resources based on who's coming, so we protect that final window.
The 48-hour cutoff is measured against the event's listed start time.
How to request a refund
- Go to My RSVPs and find the event under Upcoming.
- Click Request refund. If you're still outside the 48-hour window, it's processed immediately.
- Your RSVP is canceled and your spot opens up for the waitlist.
When your refund arrives
Refunds are issued through Stripe back to your original payment method. Most land within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. You'll refund the full ticket price — the platform fee is returned too.
If an organizer cancels or changes an event
If an organizer cancels an event you paid for, you're entitled to a full refund regardless of the 48-hour window. If an event is materially changed (date, time, or location) in a way that doesn't work for you, email hello@alwaysfunday.com and we'll make it right.
Organizer subscriptions
The $150/year organizer subscription is non-refundable once a billing period begins. You can cancel any time and keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for — it simply won't renew. Manage this from your subscription settings.
Exceptions and disputes
Life happens. If you have an extenuating circumstance or believe something went wrong with a charge, email hello@alwaysfunday.com. We review these case by case and may issue a refund at our discretion, even outside the normal window. Where the law gives you a stronger right to a refund, that law wins.
