Code of Conduct · v2.0
How we travel together
Draft. This page is under attorney review and will be finalized before the first trip opens for booking.
Who belongs on our trips
Everyone who accepts this code is welcome to apply, whatever their race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, body or experience level. We decide who joins a trip by how people treat others, never by who they are.
What we expect
- Respect everyone in the group, the people we meet along the way, and the places we stay.
- Use people's names and pronouns.
- Ask before touching, photographing or posting about anyone, and take no for an answer.
- Follow the host's safety instructions, including on trails, water, and in vehicles.
- Drink responsibly if you drink, and never pressure anyone to drink.
- Look out for each other. If someone seems left out or unsafe, tell the host.
What isn't allowed
- Harassment, intimidation or threats, in person or online
- Slurs, hate speech or demeaning comments about any person or group
- Unwanted sexual attention or physical contact
- Deliberate misgendering or deadnaming
- Illegal drugs or illegal activity on a trip
- Putting yourself or others at risk by ignoring safety instructions
- Retaliating against anyone who raises a concern
Raising a concern
During a trip, tell the host directly. They can act on the spot. At any other time, use our report form or email hello@alwaysfunday.com. We read every report and nobody is penalized for raising a concern in good faith.
What happens when the code is broken
Depending on what happened, we may:
- Talk with you and give a warning
- Remove you from an activity or from the trip
- Decline future applications from you
- Close your Always Funday account
Removal from a trip for breaking this code is covered in our cancellation policy.
